Services Resuming

Swanston Street 

  • Route 1/3/5/6/16/64/67/72 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Flinders Street

  • Route 70/ 75 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Collins Street

  • Route 11/12/48/109 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Bourke Street 

  • Route 86/96 trams have resumed following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore the timetable.

Reason for changes

Due to a rally in the city

Service Changes

From 11:30am to 5pm the following service changes will occur:

  • Route 3/64/67 trams will operate between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station diverting via Kings Way and William Street
  • The above tram service changes will continue if the protest ends early or is cancelled.

 

Swanston Street is impacted the following service changes will occur:

  • Route 1/6 trams divert via Kings Way, William Street and La Trobe Street between Kings Way/ St Kilda Road and Stop 7 RMIT.
  • Route 5/16/72 trams will operate between south-eastern suburbs to Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • No Swanston Street trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Stop 7 RMIT University.

When La Trobe Street is impacted the following service changes will occur:

  • Route 30 trams will not run.

Bourke Street

  • Route 86/96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 11 Melbourne Museum and Spencer Street.
  • A limited shuttle runs as 86a between Stop 119 La Trobe Street and Stop 7 Russell Street.

Collins Street

  • Route 11 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 12 St Vincents Plaza and Stop 5 Elizabeth Street
  • Route 48 runs in sections with no trams between Stop 13 Simpson Street and Stop 5 Elizabeth Street.
  • Route 12/109 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 124 Batman Park, Flinders Street and Stop 12 St Vincent's Plaza.

Flinders Street

  • Route 70 operates in sections with no trams between Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena and Stop 4 Flinders Street station, Elizabeth Street. 
  • Route 75 operates in sections with no trams between Stop 13 Simpson and Stop 4 Flinders Street Station, Elizabeth Street.

 

All city tram corridors may be affected during the rally. If service changes do occur, we will keep you updated through tramTRACKER, Twitter, our web site and live announcements to trams and stops.
