Event services

Extra trams run between St Kilda and the city. Service changes apply due to road closures associated with the festival.

Shuttle trams run as the following between the city and the festival:

  • Route 12a between Southern Cross Station and St Kilda / Fitzroy St from 8am to last tram.
  • Route 16a between Flinders Street Station and St Kilda Junction from 6.30am to last tram.
  • Route 96a between Parliament Station and St Kilda Station from 8am to last tram.

Service changes

From first to last tram:

  • Route 1 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 113 Lytton Street and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • Route 3 trams run between East Malvern and Stop 32 Havelock Street, near Luna Park.
  • Route 5 trams run between Malvern and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.
  • Route 6 trams run in sections with no trams between Stop 113 Lytton Street and Stop 7 RMIT University.
  • Route 12 trams run between Stop 122 Southern Cross Station and St Kilda. Consider Route 109 trams to connect to Victoria Parade and Collins Street.
  • Route 16 trams run between Kew and Stop 32 Havelock Street, near Luna Park.
  • Route 30 and 35 (City Circle) trams will not run. Consider other trams between Docklands and the city.
  • Route 64 trams run between East Brighton and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
  • Route 72 trams run between Camberwell and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.

From 7am to last tram:

  • Route 67 trams run between Carnegie and Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.

From 3am to last tram:

  • Route 96 trams run between East Brunswick and Stop 132 St Kilda Station.

Accessibility

All festival shuttle trams (Routes 12a, 16a and 96a) are low-floor trams.

The last accessible stops are:

  • Stop 38 Balaclava Station (from Kew to St Kilda)
  • Stop 29 Union St/St Kilda Road (from Melbourne University to St Kilda)
  • Stop 143 Park Street (Route 12a terminus)
  • Stop 132 St Kilda Station (East Brunswick to St Kilda)

Passengers needing an accessible service can consider:

  • Route 96 trams travelling to and from Stop 132 St Kilda Station
  • Route 12a trams travelling to and from Fitzroy St/Park Street terminus.
  • A buggy service from Stop 29 Union Street/St Kilda Road to the Festival (Fitzroy Street)
