Service Changes
Service changes apply due to road closures associated with the festival. Affected trams will display an ‘a’ alongside their route number to reflect the changes.

Saturday 5 February, 6.45am to 11pm
- Route 96 trams run between East Brunswick and Stop 132 St Kilda Station only. Use Route 3a and 16 trams along Fitzroy Street and The Esplanade.
Wednesday 9 February, 7pm to 10pm; Thursday 10 to Friday 11 February, 7pm to 11pm
- Route 3 trams run via St Kilda along Route 3a.
- Route 64 trams divert via St Kilda Road along Route 3 between Stop 30 St Kilda Junction and Stop 51 Balaclava Road.
- (By 4pm) Route 96 trams run between East Brunswick and Stop 132 St Kilda Station only. Use Route 3a and 16 trams along Fitzroy Street and The Esplanade.
Saturday 12 February, 7pm to 11pm
- Route 64 trams divert via St Kilda Road along Route 3 between Stop 30 St Kilda Junction and Stop 51 Balaclava Road.
- (By 4pm) Route 96 trams run between East Brunswick and Stop 132 St Kilda Station only. Use Route 3a and 16 trams along Fitzroy Street and The Esplanade.
Sunday 13 February
From 4.30am to last tram
- Route 96 trams run between East Brunswick and Stop 132 St Kilda Station only.
First to last tram
- Route 3a run between East Malvern and Stop 138 Luna Park only.
- Route 12 trams won’t run. Take Route 109 trams between Collins Street and Victoria Parade.
- Route 16 trams run between Kew and Stop 138 Luna Park only.
- City Circle trams won’t run. Consider other trams between Docklands and the city.
Shuttle trams run as the following between the City and the Festival:
- Route 12a – between Spencer Street and Park Street (first to last tram)
- Route 16a – between Flinders St Station and St Kilda Junction (11am to 11.30pm)
- Route 96a – between Melbourne Museum and St Kilda Station (5pm to 11.30pm)
From 4pm to last tram
- Route 5 trams run between Malvern and Stop 38 Orrong Road. Change to Route 64 to continue your journey.
During the event, trams will operate to higher than usual frequency; however, some trams will only operate along part of the route to service areas of high passenger demand.
