Reason for service changes
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted extreme heat.
Service changes are in place to minimise the impact of hot weather on trams and passengers.
Service changes
- From first to last tram, buses replace Route 78 trams between Balaclava and North Richmond.
- From 2pm to 8pm, buses replace Route 109 trams between Stop 27 Findon Crescent and Box Hill.
Buses will service existing kerbside stops or stop at the footpath nearby.

Alternative travel options
- Route 78 passengers may use Sandringham line trains or Bus 246 on Hoddle Street/Punt Road.
- Route 109 passengers may use Alamein/Belgrave/Lilydale line trains, Route 16 trams on Glenferrie Road, Route 48 trams on High Street/Doncaster Road or Route 72 trams on Burke Road.
