Services resuming

Route 30/86/96 trams have resumed along their normal lines following an earlier disruption. Delays may occur as we restore normal frequency.

Service Change Update - 3pm

Due to protest activity in the CBD, service changes affect the following

Bourke Street trams

  • Route 86/96 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Spencer Street & Stop 11 Melbourne Museum
  • Route 30 trams divert via Bourke St between Spencer Street and Stop 7 Russell Street/Bourke Street.

Further service changes may occur as the protest progresses through the city.

Due to protest activity in the CBD, service changes affect the following

Bourke Street trams

  • No Route 86/96 trams run between Parliament Station and Spencer Street
  • Route 30 trams divert via Bourke Street along Route 86 as Route 30a between the Docklands and Stop 4 Queen Street.

Swanston Street trams

  • Swanston Street trams have resumed along their normal lines.

Further service changes may occur as the protest progresses through the city.

Due to protest activity in the CBD, service changes affect the following

Bourke Street trams

Swanston Street trams

  • Route 1 trams run in sections between South Melbourne Beach and Flagstaff Station via Kings Way and William Street, and between East Coburg and Stop 7 RMIT University.
  • Route 6 trams run in sections between Glen Iris and Flagstaff Station via Kings Way and William Street, and between Moreland and Stop 7 RMIT University.
  • Route 3a/5/16/64/67/72 trams run between Stop 14 Arts Centre and the south eastern suburbs.

Further service changes may occur as the protest progresses through the city.

Due to planned protests in the CBD

City Circle trams will not run.

Service changes are expected to affect trams on all other city routes.
