Disruption to City trams - Sunday 24 December

Reason for changes

Due to a rally in the city.

Service changes

From 11:30am to 5pm the following service changes will occur:

• Route 3, 64 and 67 trams run between the south-eastern suburbs and Stop 7 Flagstaff Station diverting via Kings Way and William Street.
• Route 30 trams will not run.
• City Circle trams will run between Waterfront City Docklands and Stop 6 Russell Street via Docklands Drive/Harbour Esplanade/Flinders Street.

The above tram service changes will continue if the rally ends early or is cancelled.

From 11:30am to the end of the rally the following service changes will occur:

Swanston Street

• Route 1 trams divert via La Trobe Street between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 22 Dorcas Street.
• Route 6 trams run in section with no trams between Stop 7 RMIT University and Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
• Route 5, 16, 72 trams run between south-eastern suburbs to Stop 14 Arts Precinct.
• No Swanston Street trams run between Stop 14 Arts Precinct and Stop 7 RMIT University.

When Bourke Street is impacted the following service changes will occur:

• Route 86 and 96 trams divert in both directions via La Trobe Street between 11 Melbourne Museum and Spencer Street.
• A limited shuttle runs as Route 86a between Stop 119 La Trobe Street and Stop 4 Queen Street or Stop 7 Russell Street.
